Finally, Italian audiences will also be able to hear the captivating melodies of Milow live. The Belgian singer-songwriter will in fact be the 30 November at the Salumeria della Musica in Milan and the next day, 1 December, at the Circolo degli Artisti in Romepreceded by a special guest whose name will be revealed shortly.
The 27-year-old Belgian Jonathan Vandenbroeck, known to most as Milow, enjoyed huge success in the charts all over Europe with the cover 'Ayo Technology', a song by rapper 50 Cent and Justin Timberlake that has been all over the radio in recent months. Milow had burst onto the music scene in 2004, becoming a finalist in the 'Humo's Rock Rally' rock contest, the most important in Belgium, and from then on he had won several awards and prizes. The first album 'The Bigger Picture' was released domestically in 2006, but the real breakthrough came in 2008, when he was asked to perform a cover of a famous song during the broadcast of a Belgian radio programme. Milow's choice is unusual, but proves successful; he offers an acoustic version of 'Ayo Technology'giving it a pathos and depth unthinkable for an R&B hit played mostly in clubs and with very bold lyrics. The revival was so successful that an independent label released it as a single, which soon reached the rest of Europe from Belgium. It is accompanied by a provocative video with a strong visual impact that quickly surpasses twenty million views on YouTube and begins to be broadcast on major European music stations. Milow was recently nominated as Best Belgian/Ducth Act at MTV Europe Music Awards and on 2 October will also release the European debut album bearing his name in Italy.
The new promise of European pop will hold two dates in the Bel Paese, both opened by a musical guest whose name will soon be announced:
