2/4/08: LONG LIVE THE QUEEN

With a new album out - the first studio release to carry on the legendary name of the QUEEN after the newfound sessions with Freddie Mercury - the English rock band is preparing to spend four months on tour, once again in the company of the singer PAUL RODGERSwho had already joined Brian May and Roger Taylor on the occasion of their successful 2005 tour, which included four sold-out dates in Italy and ended with a spectacular concert in London's Hyde Park.
More than a million people wanted to re-embrace the QUEEN on the last tour. "Queen + Paul Rodgers Rock the Cosmos 2008". will tour 14 countries in seven weeks across Europe and Asia for a total of 28 dates, before taking the band back to South America, where it has been missing since the early 1980s and where it held its biggest ever concert in 1985 at Rock in Rio in front of more than 300,000 people.
The album, due for release on 1 September (two weeks before the start of the tour), marks the studio debut with Queen for Paul Rodgers, who actively participated with May and Taylor in the writing of the tracks. The title of the album has yet to be decided, and is preceded by the single "Say it's not true.
There are two dates in Italy, the first on 26 September at the Palalottomatica in Rome, the second on 28 September at the DatchForum in Milan. Tickets for both concerts will be available from Monday 7 April..
