A wall of sound is coming down Saturday 8 November on Rock City Night of theAlcatraz, MilanThe Australians arrive PENDULUM, freshly nominated at the BT Digital Music Award as 'Best Electronic Artist' and veterans of some of Europe's most important summer festivals such as Download, Rock Am Ring, T in the Park, Reading, Sziget and others.
Their career is divided into a deadly and successful alternation between rock and electronic, between composition and the art of remixing.
The group has in fact produced several remixes of other artists, including Voodoo People by the Prodigy. Pendulum have themselves been remixed, namely the piece Painkiller (performed with the Freestylers) in 2006 was remixed by Noisiaas well as Hold your colour remixed by Bi-Polar.
Their debut with the general public was with the piece Slam, which reached position 34 in the UK singles chart after being aired several times as a surprise by the BBC Radio 1.
In 2005, they released their debut album, Hold Your Colour. Critically, the album received excellent reviews in both the UK and Australia, as well as becoming one of the best-selling drum'n'bass records of all time. In 2008, the band's latest CD was released, called 'In silico'authentic sonic bombshell of great straight-ahead rock pieces and exciting, ingenious remixes of old hard rock gems, such as Immigrant song of Led Zeppelin o Master of Puppets of MetallicaFor many, it is the consecration album.
I Pendulum arrive at Milan as part of their European tour in November, a continuation of the world tour that will take them to the US for 15 dates throughout October.
