24/11/08: RESURRECTION: FOR DUTCH PESTILENCE NEW ALBUM AND TOUR AFTER 14 YEARS

They had disbanded in 1994 the Pestilence, a band at the forefront of technical death metal, author of albums that have remained in the history of extreme music such as Testimony of the Ancient and above all 'Spheres', a work that influenced the entire techno-thrash scene of the 1990s.
14 years later, the founder Patrick Mameli (vocals and guitar) announces his creature's return to the scene. The band is currently in the studio recording the new 'Resurrection Macabre'scheduled for release at the end of February 2009. Therefore, the Pestilence will leave for a tour that will touch down in Italy on 18 and 19 April respectively at Rock Planet of Pianerella di Cervia and the Sonar of Colle Val d'Elsa in the province of Siena.
The current line-up includes Patrick, Tony Choy on bass, former member of Atheist and Cynic and Peter Wildoer on drums (Arch Enemy among his other projects).
