26/03/09: A WONDERFUL EVENING: LOREENA McKENNITT AT TAORMINA'S ANCIENT THEATRE

An evocative combination to say the least: if the celestial music of Loreena McKennitt finds a home in one of our country's most beautiful monuments, then the magic is absolute. The Canadian artist will in fact play at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina the next 24 June.
Tickets (€25 and €40) will be available on the TicketOne circuit from Thursday 2 April.
After the success of 'An Ancient Muse', the album that led Loreena to a Grammy win, has recently released a collection of Irish folk songs entitled 'A Mummer's dance through Irleand'.
