After a new solo album in 2010, a film and a tour, Melissa Auf Der Maurthe former bassist of Hole and Smashing Pumpkins, still wants to experiment: hence the announcement of a series of concerts that will show us an unreleased Auf Der Maur.
In these four Italian dates, we will see it in unplugged duo for a show in which her songs will be completely distorted and arranged for voice, bass, synth guitar and keyboards. Everything will be accompanied by video productions directed by the Canadian artist herself.
Melissa will be on 17 May at the Circolo degli Artisti in Rome, then on the 19th at the Teatro Comunale di Serrenti, in the province of Cagliari, on the 21st at the Cage Theater in Livorno, and finally in Ascona, Canton Ticino, at the Teatro del Gatto.
'Out of Our Minds' is his third proper solo album and was released in conjunction with the twenty-eight-minute short film of the same name that Italian fans were able to enjoy exclusively last summer at the Milan and Conegliano dates.
Melissa Auf Der Maur launched her solo career in 2003, after having been a mainstay of Courtney Love's Hole from '97 to '99, with whom she recorded the best-seller 'Celebrity Skin', and since 2000 of the Smashing Pumpkins, alongside her old friend and mentor Billy Corghan.
