A Life of Passion. Andrea Parodi, former voice of Tazenda, has never stopped writing, singing, giving emotions. He did so until a few days ago: only two weeks have passed since his last big concert in Cagliari and we all still remember his voice before the concert of Luciano Ligabue at the Cagliari Fair last summer. Andrea was for years the voice of Tazenda with whom he achieved success with 'The moon rises from the mountain' sung in tandem with Pierangelo Bertoli in 1991. After a long illness Andrea passed away in the affection of his family, the other great love of his life.
For the Barley Arts Andrea was a friend, Claudio Trotta remember him like this:
"Andrea has always been a simple person with a passion for life, a curious and tireless cultural worker. I am honoured to have had the privilege of organising some of his concerts at the beginning of Tazenda's career, an extraordinary group, never rewarded enough for their qualities. ."
Several artists and friends have remembered him, among them Piero Pelu:
"Andrea taught me to understand a land that I have always loved and thanks to him I discovered the lesser known face of the island, but no less important.
His passing leaves me with a huge void that I will try to fill with his memory, his stories and his wonderful voice. I hope that in time, the institutions will also be able to live up to the great wealth of Sardinian culture that Andrea Parodi skilfully disseminated around the world.
A warm, respectful and fraternal embrace goes to all his large and splendid family, who together with him fought so that beyond death the power of life would always prevail'.
