Audioslave have announced that they are returning to the studio to begin work on the follow-up to their self-titled debut album. The American rock band's second work will be released on Interscope Records, as per the agreement.

The first record was licensed to Epic (Sony), now it is Interscope's turn. All this because the band's singer Chris Cornell has been under contract with Interscope (Universal) since the Soundgarden days and for his only album. The other three line-up members Tom Morello, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford were with Epic as Rage Against The Machine.
