After the wonderful TV appearance at the Arena di Verona last June, and by popular demand, BRIAN MAY and KERRY ELLIS are preparing to return live with 'One Voice - The Tour!' which includes six dates in our country. Brian May is the legendary guitarist of Queen, Kerry Ellis one of the big stars of the West End and BroadwayAs an artistic couple they have built up a large following through their fine concerts and records together, such as Kerry's debut album 'Anthems' and the live album 'Acoustic by Candlelight' . The artistic duo recently recorded the song 'One Voice', written by Ruth Moodyco-founder of the The Wailin' Jennys. Brian May stated on his website brianmay.com: "This track is intended as art for the pleasure of making art, something I am already very proud of with the magnificent voice of Kerry Ellis and a crystal clear social message: 'You have a voice, a voice CAN make a difference'".. This song will be presented during this new tour together with the most significant songs from their respective repertoires, as well as those of other great artists of the past.
The Brian May & Kerry Ellis project was born after the two artists met at the auditions of We Will Rock You The Musical in London in which Kerry played the original role of Meat. Brian May produced his debut album 'Anthems' in 2010, followed by the Anthems Tour in 2011. The subsequent Born Free Tour was presented with a series of intimate, acoustic shows in atmospheric candlelit settings, raising awareness of the duo's work for the Born Free Foundation. From this latest tour May and Ellis recorded the live album 'Acoustic by Candlelight' released in 2013.
