D12 IN ITALY !

Just started from Milwaukee the extensive US tour of the D12 (without Eminem, who is in the studio for his new album) , will arrive in Europe on 2 September and, via Germany, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, will arrive on 14 September at ALCATRAZ in MILAN. Anticipation is already high for the Detroit quintet's only Italian date, following the three million records sold with their second album D12 WORLD (Interscope / Universal), containing the hits MY BAND, 40 0Z, and the new single HOW COME, to be released on 16 July.

The D12, or Dirty Dozen of rap, six members and their respective alter egos (hence the name Dozen) are inextricably linked by a tattoo and a blood pact. The Dirty Dozen's sixth man is in fact him, Eminem aka Slim Shady, the one who years later would reveal the terms of the pact: 'Whoever ends up under contract, comes back to get the others'. And so indeed it was when Eminem signed his brothers to 'The Marshall Mathers LP'. Thus, a few years later their first full-length album, "Devil's Night"The title recalls the night of Halloween, during which the city's youth pours into the streets like a barbarian horde. The contents of the album are of the same tenor as the debut hit: very explicit, outrageous lyrics, full of hatred, sex, maniacal acts and violence, full of references to firearms and drug use, as for example in the single 'Purple Pills' (censored in 'Purple Hills') with ecstasy pills.

After the success of the album D12 World, the video of the first single MY BAND is transformed into reality. The five rappers shake off the dominating figure of their friend Eminem to prove how much each of them can be worth individually. And this tour is yet another demonstration of this.

Bizarre, Swift, Proof, Kon Artist and Kuniva are ready for the big leap.

BIZARRE
is the fattest, slowest rapper in history ... embodies the prototype of the 'politically uncorrect' (a prerequisite for good hip hop); solo rapper before joining Shady Records.

SWIFT
Loyalty to family and warnings to enemies are his assumptions. He admits that he joined the group to replace Bugz, the youngest member of the collective who was gunned down on 21 May 1999 ... and rappes for him.

PROOF
the 'philosopher' of the group and the founder of the Detroit collective together with Eminem, his schoolmate, with whom he has been frequently rap-ing ever since.

KON ARTIS
the band's soul-ist, the master of the beat and one of the group's main writers and producers. "50 Cent's 'P.I.M.P' is his work. He participated in the production of three EM albums.

KUNIVA
also called the mutant, is one of the newest and most quarrelsome members of the band, always fighting with everyone. His background is in the Da Brigade crew, together with Kon Artist.

The event is realised in collaboration with GROOVE MAGAZINE, RADIO ITALIA NETWORK, ALL MUSIC e FIVE STARS. Also in the pipeline with the hip-hop group FIVE STARS is another appointment in conjunction with the eventwhich we will soon unveil.
