I DEEP PURPLE return to Italy after the success of five dates last March. It will be the GENOA Sports Hall to host the 5 MAY the new leg of the tour, which began in Italy on 7 March 2007 with a sold-out performance in Parma and continued in the south with four more dates, including two memorable dates in Sicily, a region where the English hard rock band had never played before.
The band appeared in great form, with a set list that alternated between songs from the band's latest albums and the old warhorses that have made rock history worldwide.
The band currently consists of IAN GILLAN (vocals) ROGER GLOVER (bass), IAN PAICE (drums), STEVE MORSE (guitar) and DON AIREY (keyboards).
DEEP PURPLE's last studio album, Rapture of The Deep (Edel), dates back to 2005.
Tickets for the GENOA date will go on sale on the Ticketone circuit from Monday 26 March.
