The echo of the spectacular show offered by Lenny Kravitz to audiences in Treviso and Milan has not yet died down, and the long-awaited confirmation has arrived: the 'Black And White Tour' returns to Italy in the summer of 2012 for three new concerts, on 16 July at the Miro Luperi Stadium in Sarzana, on the 17th at the Ippodromo delle Capannelle in Rome, as part of 'Rock In Roma', and on the 19th at the Castello Sforzesco in Vigevano for the third edition of '10 Giorni Suonati'.The concert recently seen in Italy literally captivated the audience, always accustomed to excellent performances by an artist who has been treading the boards for 20 years with undiminished class, but who had certainly never before seen him as the protagonist of such an extraordinary performance. The comments were unanimous: a compact band enriched by an excellent wind section, an artistic maturity that has preserved the freshness of the beginnings, a top-notch production and, above all, a setlist of hits such as few others can afford.
To name but a few of the pieces heard in the 2-hour concert, there was no shortage of "Always On The Run", "American Woman", "Mr. Cab Driver", "Where Are We Runnin", "Fly Away", "Are You Gonna Go My Way", "I Belong to You" and some of the most representative songs of "Black And White Americathe latest album released on the Roadrunner/Atlantic label, as 'Stand', 'Push' and 'Rock Star City Life'.. Nor was there any shortage of a final crowd bath to the tune of 'Let Love Rule'.
On the 'Black And White Italy Tour', organised by Barley Arts, Lenny Kravitz will once again be accompanied on stage by Gail Ann Dorsey on bass, George Laks on keyboards, Craig Ross on guitar, Frank Vanderbilt on drums, Harold Todd on saxophone, Gabrial McNair on trombone, and Louis Ludovic on trumpet.
