The John Butler Trio is happy to announce their long-awaited return to Europe with a new live show and a series of dates in support of their next record project, due out in September. The band, led by Butler, will also tour Italy for three dates: Friday 26 October at the Atlantico in Rome, Saturday 27 October at the Gran Teatro Geox in Padua and Sunday 28 October at Alcatraz in Milan.. I tickets for the Rome and Milan concerts will be available on the official circuit Vivaticket from 10 a.m. on Friday 11 May, while those for the Padua leg can be purchased on the official Fasticket and Ticketone circuits from 10 a.m. on Friday 11 May.. Acclaimed for their brilliant live performances and superb musicianship, the John Butler Trio is one of the most successful Australian ensembles on the current world music scene. The trio in 2018 expanded with the addition of two members in the form of John Butler Trio +. After a successful tour of Australia with the new live show, European audiences will also be treated to a larger and more dynamic live show, based on tracks from the new album and a reinterpretation of great classics such as Betterman, Zebra and What You Want.
The forthcoming studio album, the first since Flesh + Blood won the ARIA in 2014, is a very personal creation of songs that reflect everyday thinking, family and travel. Speaking about the new project, John Butler said: "This album has been a rite of passage that I couldn't go around, couldn't go over , couldn't go under but had to go THROUGH"..
