The month of June brings to the Italian Hard Rock Cafe (Florence, Rome and Venice) the unplugged mini-tour of one of the most popular artists of the American alternative scene, Joshua Radin. The singer-songwriter will perform in a series of acoustic concerts, realised in collaboration with Barley Arts: Wednesday 13 June 2012 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Florence, Thursday 14 in the one in Rome and Sunday 17 in Venice, at 10 pm.
In addition to the three dates at Hard Rock cafés, Radin will be on Saturday 16 at Hana-Bi in Ravenna for a free entry date.
Joshua Radin, whose songs have become part of the soundtrack of highly successful TV shows such as Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs, Brothers&Sisters, Doctor House, American Idol, with the three Italian stops supports Hard Rock Cafe's solidarity campaign for Fundacion Vicente Ferrer, the Spanish non-governmental organisation that has been engaged for over 50 years in the rehabilitation and support of one of the poorest areas in southern India, Anantapur. The Foundation ensures people the right to education, health, sanitation and decent housing with a special focus on people with disabilities, who are often ignored in India.
All Hard Rock Cafe's in Europe support the projects of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation with the sale of limited edition pins, bracelets and dedicated events - like Joshua Radin's June tour. The 2012 campaign aims to build five schools.
For Hard Rock, Joshua Radin's will be a welcome return after his performance in London's Cafe in 2010, but especially after opening Sir Paul McCartney's historic concert at Hyde Park's Hard Rock Calling festival, with Elvis Costello and Crosby, Stills & Nash, in front of over 70,000 spectators.
