The first of DEAD CAN DANCE's two Italian dates in MILAN is SOLD OUT!

We are pleased to announce that the Dead Can Dance have achieved an extraordinary sold out for the first of two Italian dates next spring. The band has confirmed its return to Italy with this double date on Sunday 26 and Monday 27 May at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan. Tickets for the 27 May date are still available on the following websites official sales circuits Vivaticket e Ticketonewhile those for 26 May are no longer available, and Barley Arts strongly advises viewers against relying on secondary ticketing channels.

I Dead Can Danceor Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perrywill present their album in Italy, Dionysus released on 2 November. Since its inception in 1981, the Australian duo has long been intrigued by European folk traditions, not only in musical terms, but also in terms of secular, religious and spiritual practices.

Dionysus is in two acts through seven movements representing the different facets of the myth of the Greek god and his cult, and takes the musical form of an oratorio, in the style of the 16th century. As always, Perry drew inspiration from his natural surroundings to compose the music, in particular animal calls and natural sounds, recreated here using folk instruments from all over the world.
