After the extraordinary sold out by Davide Van De Sfroos last April, we are happy to announce two more evenings of quality music at the Sondrio Social Theatre. Saturday 26 October the Treves Blues Band will celebrate its founder's 70th birthday on the Valtellina stage, while Thursday 7 November will be the turn of the fingerstyle master Andy McKee. Tickets will be on sale at Vivaticket e Ticketone from 11 a.m. on Monday 15 July. The two concerts constitute the first official dates of the festival Valtellina Rootswhich continues the collaboration between Barley Arts, Slow Music and the realities of the Valtellina region, which started with the aforementioned concert of Van De Sfroos to arrive at A.R.M.O.N.I.A. in the Forestswhich recently brought Alex Seel e Marlon Williams to perform in beautiful settings.

Andy McKee is recognised as one of the best acoustic guitarists in the world, skilled in fingerstyle, a technique that does not involve the use of a plectrum. His fingers plucking the steel strings of his guitar, the energy produced and the melodic content of his songs make him recognisable at first hearing. He has reached millions of viewers on YouTube, building up a resounding success that has allowed him to be counted among the most influential artists of his generation. "Andy McKee can consider himself one of the best guitarists in the world and for good reason. The rhythm he gives to his tunes is nothing short of mesmerising." This is how the magazine talked about it in an article Guitar World USA.

70 in Blues is the new tour with which the Treves Blues Band will take centre stage all over Italy to celebrate its leader in a fitting manner, Fabio Treves, which in 2019 celebrates its 70th anniversary of a life dedicated to the Blues. The adventure of the Treves Blues Band was born in 1974 when a young harmonica player from Lambrate decided to set out on a 'mission impossible': to spread the values of the Blues, its history and its great performers. The harmonica player in question is Fabio Treveshenceforth renamed the 'Puma of Lambrate'who has travelled the length and breadth of Italy and the world with his band and held high the flag of Italian BLUES. His concerts are a journey through the history of this music, from the earliest work songs to archaic country music, from electric Chicago blues to more modern blues. Treves has to his credit numerous collaborations with real blues legends with whom he has played throughout his career, and is the only Italian artist to have played on stage with the great genius Frank Zappa.
