LUCA SAPIO, THE SOUL-JAZZ ARTIST IN GERMANY WITH TROMBONE SHORTY & ORLEANS AVENUE

It is a busy period for Luca SapioAfter the two London dates at the beginning of September, the artist is currently beginning a tour of the German lands as a supporter of the Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue American trumpeter's band Trombone Shorty. Considered one of the most versatile voices on the current soul scene and already known for lending his artistry to the Quintorigo (with whom he recorded "English Garden"in 2011), Luca Sapio will perform as a quintet.

An opportunity that underlines the international vocation of the 1975-born musician, who has always been committed to exporting his wide-ranging sound between soul, blues and jazz beyond the borders of Italy. It is no coincidence that the first album in his name, "Who Knows"released by Audioglobe/Rough Trade in 2012, was recorded in New York, at the Dunham Studios of Brooklyn owned by the legendary manufacturer Thomas 'Tnt' Brennet (Cee-lo, Mary J. Blidge, Mark Ronson, D'Angelo, St. Vincent, Charles Bradley, Sharon Jones, Amy Winehouse). The album, which contains nine previously unreleased tracks and two covers - Marion Black's 'Who Knows' and Jim Sullivan's 'Rosey' - features the collaboration of the eclectic soul jazz duo Capiozzo & Meccoas well as the contribution of many musicians from the Brooklyn soul scene (Menahan Street Band, The Budos, The Extraordinaries).

But that's not all: as of 21 September, Luca is also a new voice of Radio 2He was in fact entrusted with the conduction of "Latitude Black"broadcast every Saturday dedicated to soul, r'n'b and black music in all its forms.
