"Paola Turci's 'Mi amerò lo stesso' on stage at Milan's Teatro Menotti

All-round artist Paola Turci who, after announcing his next live date, Saturday 1 October in Brescia on the occasion of Librixia - The Book Fair, is preparing to experience its theatrical adventure in the coming days, 27 to 30 Septemberwith the national premiere by I will still love myself at the Teatro Menotti in Milan. Co-written with Alessandra Rucco and directed by Emilio Russo, the show is based on Paola Turci's autobiography published by Mondadori.

A mirror is like a window overlooking space and time. A mirror can even become a door, allowing one to enter another world, another dimension, in wonderland as happens at the Alice by Lewis Carrol. Then all it takes is a mirror and a moment of solitude to let go of thoughts and memories and retrace a story that is both unique and universal.

Paola Turci is a famous artist, has a life of success, concerts, love and music. An image of a strong, committed, strong-willed woman. And an event, which somehow splits her life in two. But Paola Turci is first and foremost a woman, who in front of a mirror looks back at her history and puts her fragilities into play and her certainties into question. In an intense monologue, which is in reality a dialogue with her deepest self, Paola brings to the stage the story of an evolution and growth that are hers, but which could be that of any one of us: her complex and articulated relationship with beauty, her continuous search and obstinate flight from it, her insecurities, irony, encounters and experiences, which make her the woman she is today.

Or maybe just the one that appears, as she looks at herself reflected in that mirror.
