In these mid-July days, two more great artists are touching down in Rome and Milan, as did the American rock star. We are talking about Fink (yesterday in Rome and today at Carroponte in Milan) and Xavier Ruddtomorrow at Carrponte and on 21 July at Villa Ada in the capital.
They are young, cute and very busy... but above all they are two of the most original, 'root' and consistent indie artists the current music scene has to offer. Different in their own way, one introspective, Finkone, melancholic and dreamy, with its Jeff Buckley-esque gait and that guitar tainted with the most pained grunge. More indigenous and 'dirty' the other, Xavier Ruddalways a slave to rhythm, always in search of contamination.
