New confirmations every day for theAlpen FlairSouth Tyrol's largest festival held every summer in Natz (BZ): the headliners on the day of Friday 23 June will be the Anthraxpreceded by D-A-D, Subway To Sally and many others. Tickets e subscriptions of the festival are available at Ticketone (online and at points of sale).
Formed in New York in 1981, the band sold more than ten million copies and became the American answer to the wave of heavy metal made in the UK along with the other Big Four of stars and stripes thrash metal Metallica, Slayer e Megadeth. The Anthrax are more than the group that waved a metaphorical middle finger in the faces of unimaginative critics and fans with their collaboration with the Public Enemy in 1991 and that, with the release of 'Worship Music' (Nuclear Blast, 2011) proved that 'classic' albums are not an outdated concept. The band's story speaks of true determination in spite of all difficulties.
The latest studio effort by the Anthrax è "For All Kings" (Nuclear Blast, 2016)an album as fierce as it is sublime, as topical as it is classic. This is the second album since the return of Joey Belladonna, who in 1992 had left the microphone to John Bush. From the thrash splendour of 'You Gotta Believe' to the majesty of 'Blood Eagle Wings', "For All Kings" is the quintessential Anthraxand proof that it is impossible to contain a good band.
The Anthrax are Joey Belladonna (voice), Frank Bello (low), Charlie Benante (battery), Jonathan Donais (guitar) and Scott Ian (guitar).
