Here, as every year, comes the ranking of the best ten albums compiled by the Daily Mailthe famous English newspaper founded in the early 19th century. Mika and its debut album 'Life in Cartoon Motion' are at the top of the list. For the young Lebanese-born artist, an unforgettable year comes to an end. Exploded at the beginning of 2007 thanks to the single 'Grace Kelly' (most played track on Italian radio stations during the year), Mika took two more tracks to the top of the charts, firstly 'Relax' so 'Love Today' while it has been on the radios for a few weeks 'Happy Ending'. With four high-impact singles (five in the UK where 'Big girl'), his album cannot fail to be described as one of the most sensational debuts in recent years. For Mika, three dates in Italy over the course of the year: the first at Alcatraz (see photo above by Francesco Prandoni), a venue chosen at the last minute after two postponements due to an authentic ticket hunt, then two autumn dates in the Turin and Bologna arenas.
Also placing in the Top 10 are Bruce Springsteenwhose return with the E Street Band generated unparalleled enthusiasm and Richard Hawley, also in Italy last year with Barley Arts, a much-loved artist in England and deserving of a larger following in our parts too.
