PHIL RUDD: new album and new tour for AC/DC's historic drummer

Among the greatest drummers ever, Phil Rudd, a long-standing member of AC/DC, returns to music and to Italy with his brand new project and a brand new line-up. Phil Rudd & Band will be Friday 5 May at Phenomenon in Fontaneto d'Agogna (NO) and Saturday 6 May at Rock Planet in Pinarella di Cervia (RA); tickets will be available on the official circuit Ticketone from Monday 12 December.

Phil Rudd He resumes the discourse opened in 2014 with his first solo album Head Jobrecorded together with Allan Badger (vocals and bass) and guitarist Geoffrey Martinand interrupted due to the vicissitudes that have involved him in recent years. Now, two years later, for Phil Rudd time to return to music, and it does so with the new release of Head Job on 30 September, the new video clip of the title track ( and with the announcement of the new Head Job European Tour which will also stop in Italy.

For Malcolm Young, co-founder of AC/DC, Phil Rudd is 'the real deal', Kenny Aronoff describes him as 'THE rock drummer' and for Eric Singer of Kiss he is 'the heart and soul of AC/DC'. And indeed Phil Rudd is an indelible part of AC/DC history. To the untrained ear, Rudd's drummig may appear rudimentary, but his unselfish way of experiencing music and his great attention to dynamics have secured him the adoration of many drummers and critical acclaim: Modern Drummer in May 2010 devoted a piece to timeless rock and 50 reasons to love Phil Rudd. The anticipation and curiosity for Phil Rudd's new live shows is therefore growing and the concerts promise to be unmissable.
