The Auditorium of Tionechosen for the preview of The Window Tour in the Theatre is literally packed with a very diverse audience, indicative of the cross-sectional success that the Negramaro have managed to achieve. The show at this stage of the tour, announced to be acoustic and more intimate than the crowds and electricity of last summer, brings the Salento band back into more intimate and 'gut' contact with their fans.
The six of them appear on stage totally dressed in black and each of them is surrounded by an impressive array of instruments: piano rohdes, didjeridoo, diatonic accordion, steel guitar, electric double bass. At the centre Julian, seated at the piano for the opening, then split between guitar and irrepressible bursts of energy forcing him towards the audience.
'That place that isn't there' begins very intimately with Julian accompanied only by violin and cello (respectively Andrea Di Cesare and Claudia Della Gatta) e Danilo Tasco on percussion.
Then one by one the other musicians come in and light up, Andrea, Pupillo, Ermanno, Lelein a goosebump-inducing musical-emotional crescendo!
Also notable As Everything Flowing just guitar and vocals, a song that stripped of everything turns out to be surprisingly powerful.
The stage design is minimal, consisting of a panel on which the lights and colours play creating 'windows' and geometries that frame the musicians.
The rest? Find out on the tour... have a good trip!
Today we start from Verona while doubling Turin and in December two new dates will be added to the Granteatro by Rome.
