Brooklyn-born and Brooklyn-raised rapper, songwriter and producer Theophilus London arrives for the first time on an Italian stage on 5 JUNE, at La Salumeria della Musica in Milan.
His debut album was released at the end of 2011, dragged by the single 'I stand alone', one of the most played tracks on radio and TV stations all over Europe. For months, trade magazines, including the British NME, have been calling it 'the real deal' of the pop, funky and rap scene.
It is not easy to define his music, which is enthralling, fresh, full of rhythm and catchy melodies.
For some, Theophilus took the Outkast sound and transported it into a more contaminated dimension.
The success he has garnered over the past few months is confirmation of the explosion of a new talent on the American urban scene, who had already come to the attention of critics, clubs and DJs in 2009 with 'The Charming mixtape', an independent release made under the label The Lovers, which he created and managed.
In 2011 came the contract with the major (Warner) and the new Big Apple prodigy landed all over the World, including the peninsulas.
