After 100 years, the legend of the world's most famous cruise ship returns to the stage in a musical, 'Titanic', on stage from 27 October 2012 for a tour in theatres in Bologna, Trieste, Florence, Reggio Emilia, Milan, Bergamo, Padua, Turin and many other Italian cities (the complete calendar can be found at www.titanicilmusical.it).
The show is the brainchild of Federico Bellone, former artistic director for Stage Entertainment in successful musicals such as 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Flashdance' among others, here engaged in the dual role of director and co-producer. Joining him in this capacity is Barley Arts, which after two successful seasons with Queen's "We Will Rock You", comes with "Titanic"in its second experience of producing a musical.
'Titanic - the musical', for the first time in Italy, interprets in a theatrical key a poignant love story, which has by now become legendary, with scene changes, sumptuous costumes, special effects and an unforgettable theme by Maestro Ennio Morricone, in a mix of adventure, mystery, sentiment, action, luxury and sensuality, to create a fresco of characters from the early 1900s, so different from each other but all equal in the face of destiny. Among the performers in the show, in the part of Francis, the handsome young stowaway embarking on the translatlantic full of dreams and enthusiasm, we find Danilo Brugia, already an established actor, soon to be on the TV screens of Rai 1 starring in the second series of the fiction 'Rossella'.
