One week to go until the concert at Alcatraz in Milan and Tom Odell is already ready to announce a new surprise for fans! The British singer-songwriter, after the Milan date, will return to our country for a summer date Friday 14 July 2017 at Pistoia Blues. Tickets will be available on the official circuit Ticketone from 11 a.m. on Friday 10 February.
The success of Wrong Crowd, Tom Odell's new album released on 10 June by Columbia Records/Sony Music, is well established. Produced by Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Adele) Wrong Crowd is the second studio album by Tom Odell and follows three years after the debut album Long Way Down, with which the young British singer-songwriter came to the attention of international audiences and critics. Of the new album Tom Odell tells: "I wanted the sound of these songs to be majestic, big strings and melodies that emphasised the songs, full of musicality without holding anything back". Proof of this is Magnetised, the single that anticipated the release of the album, a glorious and explosive pop song with fast rhythms. The video of Here I Amwhich was released last September and features the extraordinary participation of the actor Kevin Spaceyhas already exceeded 2,944,000 views. Silhouette, the new video released in November, is currently in rotation on the VH1 TV channel and has 1,740,000 views. On 6 January, Tom Odell outdid himself with the extraordinary video of Jealousy and his intense live piano and voice performance that moved everyone and is just a taste of the strong emotional charge experienced at each of his live shows.
Winner of the BRIT Awards Critic Choice of 2013, with Long Way Down Tom Odell has sold over a million copies and won the prestigious Ivor Novello Award as Songwriter Of The Year. His singles Another Love e Real Love were UK Top 10 hits, and the second of these, a cover of a Beatles song, was used in 2014 by a very famous British brand for a Christmas TV campaign. On 23 January, Tom Odell was featured in an exclusive live performance of the series Vevo Presentswhich was held in the Spiegelsaal in Berlin.
