WE WILL ROCK YOU: MARTHA ROSSI and LUCA MARCONI will play Scaramouche and Galileo

In April 2019, after a highly successful tour with audiences and critics, which recorded approx. 65,000 paying spectators at 56 replies that touched major Italian cities from north to south, the first theatre season of We Will Rock You, the show with the songs of Queen. The adventures of Galileo and Scaramouche enthralled to the rhythm of Rock audiences animated by young and old who shared with the protagonists, amid emotions and laughter, the tale of Hope, the saving power of Rock and Roll, sharing and the right to express oneself.

Now Barley Artsin the figure of Claudio Trotta, announces a second theatre season, directed by Michaela Berlini, which will start in November 2019 and will continue throughout 2020.

The executive producer is Cristina Trotta.

The creative team, inspired by a new artistic vein, is the same as last season.

The dynamic and modern choreography is by  Gail Richardson.

The scenography of Colin Mayes.

Artistic direction and vocal coaching by Valentina Ferrari, the musical direction of Riccardo Di Paolathe vocal direction of Antonio Torella.

The new lighting design is by Francesco Vignati,

Luca Colombo is the sound designer and sound engineer

The costumes are entrusted to the skilful hands of Nunzia Aceto and make-up to the creativity of Maurizio Roveroni

For this new season of the musical, the cast, made up of talented singer-actors, has two new protagonists. Scaramouche will be Martha Rossi who in 2009, on the occasion of the first Italian edition of We Will Rock You, was chosen and wanted for this role by Brian May himself.

Brian May was not the only one to notice Martha's amazing singing skills: Edoardo Bennato also wanted her to play the role of Wendy in 'Peter Pan the Musical', a role she kept for 10 years, enjoying great success and winning numerous awards, including, in the summer of 2019, the Persephone Award as 'Best Actress in a Musical' for 'Peter Pan'.

Galileo will have the face and voice of Luca Marconi.

An all-round performer, singer, songwriter, musician and actor.

His numerous projects include Riccardo Cocciante's 'Notre Dame de Paris' (he is in the cast from 2011 to 2017 for national and international tours), in the symphonic rock show 'Queen at the Opera', in 'Mimì è una civetta', (a modern adaptation of 'Bohème'), where he plays Rodolfo and in 'Otello - l'ultimo bacio', directed by Wayne Fowkes.

Last year's cast includes the confirmation of Valentina Ferrari in the role of Killer Queen, by Paolo Barillari in the role of Commander Khashoggi, by Claudio Zanelli in the role of Brit, of Loredana Fadda as Oz and  Massimiliano Colonna  interpreter of Pop.

The largely renewed ensemble includes Giovanni Abbracciavento, Beatrice Berdini, Paolo Ciferri, Anna Foria, Alessandra Gregori, Martina Pezzoli, Gianluca Pilla e Marco Stella.

Confirmed is the band line-up consisting of the aforementioned Riccardo di Paola, e Antonio Torella, first and second keyboard respectively, by guitarists Roberta Raschellà e Federica Pellegrinelliby the bassist Alessandro Cassani and the drummer Marco Parenti.

The original play was written and produced by Ben Elton, in collaboration with Roger Taylor e Brian May. The music and songs are the original ones, sung in English and performed strictly live by an exceptional band formed for the occasion.

The careful revision and implementation of the original text, translated by Raffaella Rolla, by Director Michaela Berlini, Artistic and Vocal Director Valentina Ferrari and Producer Claudio Trotta have given the show reasons for popularity and interest from an extremely transgenerational audience, enhancing the content and highlighting the topicality of topics such as bullying, education, global warming, cultural homologation and the oppressive daily presence of the web in everyone's life.

Official partner of the new season of We Will Rock You will be Save the Childrenthe international organisation that has been fighting for 100 years to save children at risk and ensure their future. We Will Rock You will in fact support the "Enlightening the future" launched by Save the Children to combat the educational poverty that affects children and young people in our country, including through a network of 24 Points of Light throughout Italy to guarantee minors a wide range of free educational activities. During all the stages of the show, the organisation's dialogues will also be present to make participants aware of the issue and provide them with useful information on Save the Children's intervention.
