After last spring's success, the Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd is ready to return to Italy for three dates not to be missed: Wednesday 14 June at Parco Tittoni in Desio (MB), as part of the new edition of Hello Folks and the anniversaries of Bloom (30 years) and Live Club (20 years), Thursday 15 June at the Parco della Musica in Padua e Friday 16 June at the Villa Torlonia in San Mauro Pascoli (FC) as part of the Acieloaperto festival. I biglietti for Xavier Rudd concerts will be available on the official circuit Ticketone from 11am on Wednesday 25 January.
From the beginning of his career, the most striking feature of Xavier Rudd has been his great ability to connect with people, to reach right into the hearts of his listeners. Engaging audiences with his multi-instrumentalist skills, ever since his debut album To Let of 2002 Rudd has created a very personal sound, a mix of guitars, ydakis, percussion, harmonica and vocals. Something decidedly new, but with a red thread leading all the way back to his ancestors and his origins. His songwriting skills first came to the fore in 2004 with his second album, Solace, quickly went platinum and was nominated for an ARIA award. Success was consolidated with the third album, Food in The Bellycelebrated for Rudd's great ability to effortlessly bring together and unite multiple musical genres. The album resonated extensively in Australia and Europe, leading to its first appearance on the Dutch charts while it was celebrated platinum in Australia. È Spirit Bird which represents for the Australian multi-instrumentalist the pinnacle of his solo career: the album brings together the most beautiful and intense aspects of Rudd's voice, songwriting and soul, earning him platinum status even in Italy.
In 2015, Nannahis eighth studio album, with The United Nations sees him for the first time together with a full line-up: musicians from every corner of the globe to represent the diverse cultures of Australia, Aboriginal peoples, South Africa, Samoa, Germany and Papua New Guinea. This was followed by 28 sold-out stops in Europe in the summer of 2016 and enthusiastic audiences at every show thanks to Rudd's high energy and pure soul. The recordings of the shows got him so excited that the multi-instrumentalist thought this great magic should be shared: a double album is coming in early 2017!
Whether alone or in the company of the band, the message of Xavier Rudd on the stage is always the same, simple and effective: all the peoples of the world can unite and rediscover their spirit, drawing on ancient cultures and protecting the Earth and the essence of creation.
