12 to 14 September various 'houses' of Milanese music will open their doors to LiveAcross, a European showcase of young talent, which is modelled on festivals such as the Dutch Eurosonic, an annual appointment with the most interesting new releases and trends on the European music scene. The programme of Live Across, which is part of Music Acrossbroad project promoted by the Lombardy Region, is edited by Barley Artsmember of Yourope, the network of European festivals, and collaborates with ETEP, the international exchange programme for new talent.
LiveAcross will stop at Rolling Stone, at Magazzini Generali, Casa 139 and Salumeria della Musica presenting different genres of music each night. Over 3 days they will perform 35 artists from 14 different countriesfrom pop-rock to ska/reggae, from techno to heavy metal, from country-folk to experimental electronica, from singer-songwriter songwriting to next-generation alternative rock. In the vast choice of music, worth mentioning are the Rock'n'Rolla transalpine 'new sensation' in the wake of the Strokes; The Niro, a young Italian singer-songwriter who deservedly generates comparisons to the artistic world of Tim and Jeff Buckley or Elliot Smith; the Bang Gang with their melodies of a vague psychedelic flavour; the undeniable stage presence of Phoebe Killdeer, former voice of Nouvelle Vague, now with The Short Straws; the Scandinavian-style rock of The Haunted e Mustasch. The purchase of a single day ticket will give access to all the events offered by LiveAcross in the various venues, subject to availability. To support the public who will want to fully experience the three days of music across the city of Milan, every evening from 21.00 to 23.30 ATM provides a free shuttle service connecting the 4 clubs.
And in the days following the LiveAcross, the best moments of the three evenings will be visible on the website www.tuttaunaltramusica.com, mediapartner of the event, together with All Music e Rolling Stone.
