10/10/08:THE RASMUS: BLACK ROSE LIVE

After more than three years since their last Italian performance, a sold-out show at the Rolling Stone in Milan, the THE RASMUS announce their new world tour starting today -10 October- in Finland, arriving in Italy on 6 February at Vox in Modena and on the 7th, again in the Lombard capital, at the Milan Rock Night at Alcatraz.
'Black Roses' is the title of the new album by Lauri Ylonen and companions, released on 3 October. The Finnish band that conquered a worldwide audience and sold more than 3 million copies thanks to the extraordinary success of 'Dead Letters', with the planetary hit 'In The Shadows', and the subsequent 'Hide From The Sun', is back after three years with one of the most eagerly awaited rock albums of 2008. 'Black Roses' is the result of a collaboration with Desmond Childauthor and producer of unforgettable hits such as Kiss' 'I Was Made For Loving You', Aerosmith's 'Angel', Alice Cooper's 'Poison', and Ricky Martin's 'Livin' la vida loca', to name but a few.
The pop-rock of 'Livin' in a world without you', the first single to be taken out, is already climbing the European airplay charts and confirms the Finnish band's ability as hit-makers. The track is accompanied by a futuristic video starring a mystical black rose "similar to the monolith in Stanley Kubrick's '2001: A Space Odyssey'", as bassist explains Eero Heinonen.
The band is in concert from today, Friday 10 October, in Finland and the tour will initially take them to Europe, then the rest of the World.
