10 DAYS PLAYED IN NOMINATION FOR FESTIVAL AWARDS EU 2012! VOTE AND WIN

Dieci Giorni Suonati, the festival that Barley Arts has been organising every summer for the past three years at the Vigevano Castle, has been nominated this year for the Festival Awards Europe 2012, whose prize-giving ceremony will be held in Groeningen in the Netherlands on 9 January.

The Vigevano festival is in the running for the category "Best Medium Sized Festival. The categories are in fact decided on the basis of the total capacities of the host venues, considering the total number of days of the event. The 10 Days of Music falls into the 'medium-sized' category, which ranges from 10,000 to 40,0000 persons capacity.

A few numbers to remind you what 10 Days of Music was in 2012:

Twenty-four artists on the mai stage including headliners and special guests for a total of thirty thousand spectators in the ten days: Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Betta Blues Society, Incubus, fiN, Wolfmother, Bud Spencer Blues Explosion, Garbage, 2:54, Paul Weller, Luca Sapio, Ben Harper, Il Cile, Lenny Kravitz, Trombone Shorty, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Steve Morse, James Morrison, Maverick Sabre, Musicians of Grema, Mika and Ultima. These were the artists who animated the most successful edition of the Vigevano festival on the music stage.

Ten writers gave the Aperitifs with the Author, presenting their books: Danilo Lenzo, Federico Russo, Gianni Miraglia, Alberto Paleari, Gianlca Veltri, Davide Oldani, Luca De Gennaro, Eleonora Ossola, Valerio Millefoglie and Irene Valla.

No less a protagonist was the catering area, with its own flavours becoming an integral part of the exhibition. Mention must be made of the The crewwho tapped 28 thousand beers, cooked almost eight thousand hamburgers and sausages and sliced cold meats for five thousand sandwiches.

Beyond 20 hours of DJ sets with D-Trot and DJ Aldo Bassi for music of all genres.

Eighty posters and twenty paintings exhibited in the castle stables for "MemoraBarley', the exhibition that brings together memorabilia including posters, passes, tickets and prizes from Barley Arts, evidence of thirty-three years of great live music.
