The new metal festival ROCKIN' FIELDorganised in collaboration between Adro Rock and Barley Arts, is enriched by one of the most important names on the power scene: the HELLOWEEN. Not a random name, as the historic German band represents the ultimate inspiration of the entire European epic scene. Precisely the headliners of the day, the highly anticipated AVANTASIA of Tobias Sammet, with their first work, Metal Opera, had drawn comparisons with the double masterpiece 'Keeper of the Seven Keys', the Helloween saga continued with the recent 'The Legacy'.
Now the formation led by Andi Deris returns to Italy with the new and acclaimed 'Gambling with the Devil', an album that confirms Helloween's second youth, a new prolific period that began with 'Time of The Oath' .
The epic-power imprint of the day is outlined even more with the confirmation of the DIVINE VISIONThey are celebrating their first ten years of activity, fresh from their latest album, 'The 25th hour', which has been enthusiastically received by public and critics alike. The Italian band is enjoying ever-increasing success, acclaim that has allowed them to tour China and South America with great success. They will be in Adro to celebrate ten years of glowing metal with their many Italian fans.
Other splendid realities of the metal scene have already been confirmed: the BIOMECHANICALlargely renewed in their line-up and fresh from a new, powerful second album 'Cannibalised', they return to Italy after their 2006 tour. They are undoubtedly one of the best promises to come out of England, and their debut album, 'Eight Moons' highlighted all the class of their perfect mix of technique and power.
For prog fans here is the confirmation of THRESHOLD, who are back on tour with original singer Damien Wilson. The band released their most successful album 'Dead Reckoning' in 2007, confirming that they were rightly included in the elite of the mid-1990s prog metal scene on a par with Dream Theater and Fates Warning.
Absolute novelty that of the ELUVEITIE, a pagan metal folk band from Switzerland, is out with their first album on Nuclear Blast.
