The wait is over! I KISS announce the ALIVE: 35 Tour 2008 which will tour seventeen European countries including some appearances at major summer festivals. Dates include two in Russia and one in VeronaIt is the band itself that says so, pointing to theArena as an exclusive venue for one of their shows. The 35th anniversary tour represents their return to the Old Continent after the 'Psycho Circus Tour' in 1999, which sold out at every stage.
The band that has become an icon of the world rock scene thanks to its famous make-up, bizarre costumes and vertiginous boots, ensures to bring the entire spectacular production of the American show to Europe. The two original members PAUL STANLEY (vocals and guitar) and GENE SIMMONS (bass and vocals), together with long-time companions ERIC SINGER (drums) and TOMMY THAYER (guitar) will dedicate to the numerous KISS ARMY European tour where no aspect of what made the first 35 years of their history legendary will be missing, from the make-up to the power of the performance.
Of course, in addition to the flaming guitars, lights and pyrotechnics of what was called 'The Greatest Rock & Roll Show on Earth' there will also be music: that which allowed the KISS to sell 85 million copies worldwide and make them the soundtrack of an entire generation.
In addition to great classics such as 'Rock & Roll all night', 'Shout it out loud' and 'Detroit Rock City'fans can expect a few surprises dug up from the gems of their vast repertoire.
In the aftermath of the announcement of the new tour, KISS' 'Language', GENE SIMMONS does not recommend the show to the faint-hearted: "...We will take no prisoners!"
