12/4/10: ROCK WILL NEVER DIE! FOREIGNERS ROCK AT ALCATRAZ

An outstanding performance by the FOREIGNER last night at Alcatraz in Milanon the occasion of their very first time in Italy in their 30-year career.
Mick Jones and his band brought their true rocker spirit, their energy and a togetherness rarely seen in bands with years and years of great success behind them.
Great credit to Kelly Hansenan enthralling and vocally impeccable front man, 'poser' to the point, as the best hard-rock tradition dictates, able to establish continuous contact with the audience throughout the almost two-hour show.
That the FOREIGNERS were back in style, one could already tell from the recent 'Can't Slow Down', an album of gritty and inspired hard-rock, which brought them back to the attention of the mainstream media. The set list, however, gave ample space to old warhorses, from 'Cold as ice' a "Waiting for a girl like you"to the inevitable encore of '.I want to know what love is' (which, to tell the truth, seemed like a white fly within a blistering concert) and the concluding 'Hot blooded'.
An enthralling rhythm section, both musically and visually, that proposed by the duo Pilson - Tichya true guarantee of precision in the service of Foreigner's sanguine hard rock.

The FOREIGNERS are back with all their class and without having lost an ounce of energy, with new lifeblood brought by the newcomers, great musicians and 'animals' of the stage.
