18/03/09: ALL SOLD OUT FOR KAKI KING: THE SOLD OUT REVIEW AT LA CASA 139

The crowd that packed the entrance to number 139 in Via Ripamonti yesterday evening in Milan was largely satisfied by Kaki King, who from the stage of House 139 performed one after the other all the songs from his latest album 'Dreaming of Revenge', as well as compositions from his previous two works. Milan was specifically the 4th SOLD OUT in a row recorded during her Italian tour, which started last Friday 13 March from Rome, went down to Naples and then up again from Macerata. Kaki, accompanied by drummer Matt Hankle and multi-instrumentalist Dan Brantigan, remains the only real star of the set, as physically petite as she is powerful in making legs and chests vibrate with her 6-string. Don't miss the next three dates of her Italian tour, or rather: don't even turn up tonight at the Bar Wolf in Bologna (unless you have booked), as they are already completely sold-out in advance, but hurry up and get a seat at the Suoneria in Settimo T.se (TO) on Thursday 19th or at the Kalinka Club in Carpi (MO) on Friday 20th.
