19/2/08: BEN'S BROTHER: TOP TOUR

I Ben's Brotherafter the great success of the debut single 'Let me out', announce their first European tour starting next 25 March from Brussels, then in Italy for a single show at the MusicDrome in Milan on 7 May.
The band, led by the beautiful voice of Jamie Hartmanis composed of Kiris Houston (guitar), Dan McKinna (bass), Dave Lattee (drums) and Morgan Quaintance (guitar). The name of the band (which in Italian means 'Ben's Brother'), comes from the personal family history of Jamie, the second son who always lived in the shadow of his older brother Ben, a successful sportsman and later a man with a brilliant career in advertising. Jamie has stated that he suffered greatly from always being identified as Ben's brother and when, years ago, he found himself writing Ben's Brother in pen on one of his demo CDs, amidst anger and hilarity, he decided that this was what he would call his band.
But now Jamie, or rather Ben's Brother, is the new British pop-rock revelation: 'Ben's Brothers are a delightful thing out of the ordinary' - stated The Independent, "Ben's Brother do not disappoint...singer Jamie Hartman through his songs tells us of an amiable familiarity with sounds reminiscent of Cat Stevens, Simply Red and early Rod Steward'' - according to the Sunday Time. With their first album Beta Male Fairytales (released in Italy on 30 January) managed to climb the UK charts to 14th position and in Italy with the single 'Let me out' have been in the top ten for a fortnight.
Jamie Hartman is also a songwriter and has previously collaborated on the lyrics of Will Young, Natalie Imbruglia and Emma Bunton of the Spice Girls for the song All I need to know.
Now the band is preparing for its first European tour with dates already scheduled until mid-July.
