With 'Hermann', the new studio album due out in February and true successor to the seminal 'Le labbra', Paolo Benvegnu' announces the first dates of the club tour that will start in March, for the first time with Barley Arts in collaboration with Cyc Promotions management.
After the live album 'Dissolution', released in May, had immortalised the memorable final leg of the previous tour in Rome, a special evening with guests, friends and an expanded line-up with strings and woodwinds, there is much anticipation to see Paolo and his band back on stage.
With him in fact we will find Andrea Franchi (drums and organ), Luca Baldini (bass and double bass), Igor Cardeti (guitars), Guglielmo Ridolfo Gagliano (guitars and cello), Simon Chiappelli (trombone) and Filippo Brilli (sax).
'Le labbra' and the EP '500', released between 2008 and 2009, gave Paolo Benvegnù a considerable leap in fame.
'An album with all the hallmarks of a masterpiece,' said Repubblica, while Rolling Stone put it this way: 'Eleven tracks bordering on perfection'.
At the beginning of 2009, Benvegnù took part in the Afterhours' 'Il Paese è Reale' project/compilation, while his tour touched prestigious stages such as the Piazza San Giovanni in Rome on the First of May, as well as the Italia Wave main stage, not forgetting a series of countless club dates, culminating in December 2009 with the concert at the Circolo degli Artisti in Rome, which gave rise to the live album 'Dissolution', released in 2010 and containing the single 'Io e il Mio Amore', broadcast on Mtv, Deejay Tv, RadioRai, which definitively consecrated Benvegnù as one of the most relevant names on the Italian scene.
