20/05/09: THREE DATES IN ITALY FOR GOTTHARD FROM 23 TO 25 OCTOBER

I GOTTHARD will hold three Italian concerts as part of their European tour, which will start after the release of the new album 'Need to believe' (in shops from 4 September 2009): will be on 23 October in Rome, on the 24th in Cesena and will close on the 25th in Trezzo d'Adda.
It has been two years since the release of 'Domino Effect', the twelfth album of their career: a story that began with the success in Switzerland of their very first work, then arrived in Germany and Italy, where they enjoy the affection of an impressive fan base.
The singer of the band, Steve Leerecently participated as lead vocalist in the two historic Swiss dates held by former Deep Purple John Lord with a hundred-piece orchestra.
In fact, Steve is regarded by critics as one of the best rock singers around, the same critics who call GOTTHARD the most important Swiss band ever.
Formed in 1992 by Lee himself, together with guitarist Leo Leoni and bassist Marc LynnGOTTHARD have released eleven studio works and one live album (2006's Made in Switzerland), selling over 2.5 million copies. 'Need to believe', to be released in September, is seen by many European hard rockers as the most eagerly awaited release of the year, and the album will once again have the task of reaching number one in the Swiss charts, something that has always succeeded for all the band's previous works.
In addition to Steve, Marc and Leo we will find guitarist Freddy Scherer and drummer Hena Habegger.
