The spotlight has just turned off on the preview of the new tour of the HARDCORE SUPERSTARwhich was staged at the Lustando Festival in Lu Monferrato on 21 June and, two weeks after the release of the new album 'Beg for it'the Swedish quartet announces four dates for next November.
From 4 to 7 November, Europe's most famous glam metal band will play in Rome, Milan, Roncade (TV) and Bologna respectively.
At the Lustando Festival we saw a band in a state of grace, now fully at ease with the new line-up (guitarist Vic Zino took over from the retiring Thomas Silver during the 2008 tour). We are in Sweden in 1997 when Joakim Berg (vocals), Thomas Silver (guitar), Martin Sandvick (bass) and Mik Vaino (drums), later succeeded by Magnum AndreassonThey formed Hardcore Superstar, a hard rock band with glam and sleaze metal influences. Their debut album, 'It's Only Rock'n'Roll' They were a hit in Sweden and Japan and from there began their climb to success throughout Europe, which also led them to open dates for AC/DC, Aerosmith and Motörhead. Within only seven years, they released five albums and came to play in the United States. During this time, there were also rumours of a break-up, which was later denied by the facts: the band continued to produce albums and toured all over Europe. The only split occurred in 2008 with the departure of guitarist Thomas Silver, who was replaced by Vic Zino from Crazy Lixx. Now the band announces a new tour in support of 'Beg for it'released on 5 June, successor to 'Dreamin' in a Casket'.
The latter was presented last year with no less than five dates in Italy, a country that has always been very dear to the band, as evidenced by the four stops on the 'Beg for It Tour'.
