22/2/10: YOUTH GONE WILD! BLACK BOX REVELATION LIVE IN APRIL

Jan Paternoster (voice and guitar, 20 years old) and Dries Von Dijck (drums, 18) had come to the attention of specialised critics in 2008 with their debut Set your head on fire, a blend of pure, energetic and inspired rock. The dirty music of sanguine blues and rock & roll also plays the lead role on the new album 'Silver Threats'released last February. And here they are back in Italy for two dates in two new cities: 9 April at Vibra in Modena and 10 at Bronson in Ravenna.

Inevitably, due to training issues,THE BLACK BOX REVELATION were juxtaposed with The White Stripes but their age and musical background have shaped their sound differently. Together since 2006, with 'Silver Threats' they were expected at the crossroads by most of the 'alternative' critics who saw in them the promise of European rock & roll. If anyone still harbours any doubts about them, they will be astounded to attend one of their concerts: their shows are the ultimate expression of the energy of this duo that knows how to be as enthralling as a five-piece band, as they demonstrated last 29 April at the Circolo Magnolia in Milan.
