23 OCTOBER: THE RETURN OF RUSHALL THE WORLD IS STILL A STAGE

In 2005, the progressive trio came to Italy for the first time after a 30-year career. The production, which has always been a strong point of their concerts, left the 7,000 fans in attendance speechless. RUSH will in fact return to our country 23 October for one date only, at the DatchForum in Milan.

Rushtwenty-five albums released since 1974, thirty million copies sold worldwide, a unique sound that boasts several attempts at imitation, and a new album due out on 1 May entitled Snakes and Arrows. The Toronto-based band still consists of the three original members, a rare example of longevity and togetherness within the rock scene: Geddy Lee (vocals, bass), Alex Lifeson (guitar) and Neil Peart (drums) are set to embark on yet another tour of their career, initially with 46 dates in the US starting in June and then landing in Europe in October. The first dates on the old continent will take place in the UK, including two concerts at the renowned Wembley Arena.
They will then arrive in Milan on 23 October after having been to Germany and Holland.

Their career began in the early 1970s. Their recording debut is dated 1974 with the self-titled album. The first real masterpiece came in 1976 with '2112', a seminal album in the history of hard rock, an album whose notes would heavily influence the prog-metal of the early 1990s, a movement that saw in the Dream Theater its most famous exponents. Other Rush milestones came in the early 1980s: 'Permanent Waves', 'Moving Pictures' are works of absolute value, enabling the band to conquer numerous platinum records, propelling the three Canadians into the elite of world rock. Their discography includes live albums, each released at the end of each creative phase of their career, from the first 'All the world's a stage' to the most recent 'Rush in Rio' recorded during the band's last 30th anniversary tour.

Beloved by Italian audiences, RUSH represent the clean face of rock; the quality of their music and their skill as instrumentalists have always been the group's main characteristics: little gossip, lots of music, great technique and an uncommon class.
