26/11/09: SKIANTOS SPECIAL GUEST ON MADNESS' ONLY ITALIAN DATE

The return to Italy of the MADNESSthe most important ska-band in the history of music, is in itself one of the top musical events of the coming year. To make the date of 8 May 2010 at the Palasharp in Milan even more unique, there will be an exceptional special guest, a true icon of Italian counterculture: SKIANTOS.

Since 1977, SKIANTOS has been a cult band, a rock band with a very personal style, appreciated by a group of die-hard admirers, a 'hard core' of demential followers. Creators and propagators of the genre, style and the adjective demential, SKIANTOS have continued undaunted to produce records on the edge of the irony that is their preferred key.

The albums INASCOLTABLE, TI SPALMO LA CREMA and NON C'E' GUSTO IN ITALIA AD ESSERE INTELLIGENTI are unforgettable. The band is currently formed by the two founders Roberto 'Freak' Antoni (vocals) and Fabio 'Dandy Bestia' Testoni (guitar)and by Max 'Magnus' Mangani to the bass, Luca 'Tornado' Testoni guitar and Gianluca 'La molla' Schiavon to the battery. The Skiantos' date as guests of the long-awaited return of MADNESS is destined to go down in the history of true alternative music in Italy.. Before the European tour in 2010, Madness will hold a series of concerts in England, fifteen to be exact, including one on 18 December 2009 at London's O2 Arena. On the occasion of the release of the new unreleased album "The Liberty of Norton Folgate on 22 May and now the hit collection "Total Madness' and the deluxe edition of the legendary 'One Step Beyond'.During 2009, the band has already held three exclusive concerts that thrilled the British public and critics: many were hoping for their return to European stages as well. The dream becomes reality and on 8 May 2010 at the Palasharp in Milan, who will not want to be there to let themselves go to the call of the words 'One step Beyond'? MADNESS are: Graham 'Suggs' McPherson (vocals), Mike 'Monsieur Barso' Barson (keyboards), Lee 'Kix' Thompson (saxophones), Mark 'Bedders' Bedford (bass), Daniel Woodgate (drums & percussion), Carl 'Chas Smash' Smyth (vocals), Chris 'Chrissie Boy' Foreman (guitar).
