26/3/10: STAR WARS IN CONCERT TONIGHT IN MILAN!

Finally, all fans and non-fans of the Star Wars saga will be able to enjoy the show in a few days' time. STAR WARS IN CONCERT.  A unique concert event, coming to Italy on 26 and 27 March, thanks to Barley Arts (exclusive producer for our country, recently also of the shows Walking With Dinosaurs e We Will Rock You) after the public and critical success of the numerous American and European dates.

The only three performances will be: Friday 26 at 9.15 p.m. and Saturday 27 at 4.15 p.m. and 9.15 p.m. 

 


STAR WARS IN CONCERT is not a musical, but a unique experience combining the unforgettable music composed by John Williams for the film saga and performed live by the 86-piece Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestraaccompanied by a choir of the highest quality, to a montage of imagesprojected on an ultra-high definition mega screen, based on the 6 film episodes of Star Wars. 

Music and images will be interspersed with narration by actor Anthony Daniels, interpreter of the robot C-3PO in all six films in the series, subtitled in Italian on screens.


"We chose the key musical themes and sequences from the saga that best suited each theme, merging the symphonies with the images to achieve a unique experience - says George Lucas, creator of the Star Wars saga - The entire soundtrack is a testament to John Williams' creativity and his extraordinary ability to expand the emotional aspects of the film'.

 






Each musical chapter of the show allows the audience to experience from a narrative point of view the main themes, characters, and key elements of the story from the epic Star Wars saga, and thus feel enraptured by an incredible journey to the heart of a distant galaxy.


The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Dirk Brossè and the many elements of the choir will provide moments of great intensity and pathos. 

 


STAR WARS IN CONCERT brings the audience to relive the Star Wars Saga through the wonderful Oscar-winning original score composed by John Williams and the crucial moments of the film episodes.


To accompany the concert, the audience can see some of the original costumes and accessories used by director George Lucas in the various Star Wars episodes on display.
