28/08/09: ALTERNATIVE, PROG AND MORE: THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT, A REALITY FOR THOSE WHO KNOW!

One of the most promising new-prog artists of recent years arrives in Italy to present their latest discography entitled 'Final Conversation Of Kings'. I The Butterfly Effect will perform Wednesday 16 December at Circolo Arci Magnolia for the only Italian date.
The Butterfly Effect formed in 1999 in Brisbane, Australia, and made their debut in 2001 with a self-titled EP that gained them popularity in Australian independent music circuits.
The next disc 'Begins Here' is mixed in the United States by Tim Palmer, collaborator among others of U2, Pearl Jam and Ozzy OsbourneThis contribution gave the band greater visibility abroad, so much so that the album was also released in Europe. Not only the specialist magazines take notice of the new promise, but also the industry insiders, including Dave Chumbleythe manager of Kylie Minogue and the Bloodhound Gang, who proposed a European tour to the group. The four (Clint Boge - vocals, Ben Hall - drums, Glenn Esmond - bass, Kurt Goedhart - guitar) enthusiastically accepted and the 32 performances were met with public and critical acclaim, increasing the sales of the album and the popularity of the group. The next work 'Imago' (2006) catapulted them to number two in the Australian charts and gave them the opportunity to perform at major festivals around Australia, including the prestigious Big Day Out.
THE LP 'Final Conversation Of Kings' was released in 2008 by Superball Rec, under the supervision of Forrester Savell, one of Australia's most promising and prolific music producers.
The band will tread the Magnolia stage with all the energy and rock power that characterises them, so much so that comparisons with the best Tool are not at all far-fetched, especially for Clint Boge's vocal abilities.
