29/6/10: SEVEN THE HARDWAY: THE NEW MADNESS OF MAC ALPINE AND DONATI

Seven the Hard Way, new project conceived by the guitar hero Tony MacAlpine and the drummer Virgil Donati, arrives on Italian stages at the turn of September and October for two dates: the 31 September in Roncade and 1 October in Rome.

Behind the microphone will be Mark Boalsthe legendary voice of hard rock, while the line-up also includes the young Argentinian guitarist Stefania Daniel and the bassist Doug Shreeve.

The eponymous album will be released in Italy on 23 August by Edel and will contain ten songs around which their concerts will revolve.

Tony Mac Alpine and Virgil Donati had already been musical partners in the project Devil's Slingshotin company by Billy Sheehanwhen they held two top-class concerts in Italy in 2008.

The class and alchemy of that project lives again in Seven the Hardway, now enlivened by the vocal melodies played by Mark Boals, formerly with MacAlpine in Ring of Fire and known to most as the lead singer of Yngwie Malmsteen.

Tony MacAlpine, favourite companion of Steve Vai during his tours, with whom he also recorded live albums such as 'Live at the Astoria' in 2004, he was part of the G3 first in 2003 and then in 2005.

Together with the great guitarist, behind the skins the immense Virgil Donati, a drummer of clear Italian origin (his father is from Codroipo, Friuli), who boasts collaborations with Frank Gambale, Josh Stone and Melissa Etheridge.
