Walter Trout arrives in Italy accompanied by his inseparable Stratocaster and the Radicals for two winter dates. It will be the 4 December in Morena (Rome) at Stazione Birra and 5 December in Forlì at Naima Club to enchant the audience with the sounds of his new album 'The Outsider'.
Walter Trout was born in New Jersey (USA) 57 years ago and his career began in the late 1960s and early 1970s as a musician for various artists, including Johnny Lee Hooker e Joe Tex. In 1981 he joined the blues-rock band Canned Heat and remained there until 1983, before joining the Bluesbrakers by John Mayallwhere Eric Clapton had also played. In 1989, he decided to embark on an autonomous project, founding the Walter Trout Bandwhich nine years later would take the name Walter Trout and The Free Radicals and finally Walter Trout and The Radicals.
Trout currently goes by simply his first and last name, and since the days of the Walter Trout Band, he has released seventeen live and unreleased albums, including the latest 'The Outsider', released in 2008. The legion of fans, especially created after the first two albums that sold an impressive 500,000 copies worldwide in the 1990s, has grown over the years, involving not only the United States but also Europe and in particular the Netherlands. Trout has his strength in the mastery with which he plays the guitar, the same since 1976, managing to keep on the borderline between rock and blues as few can. His latest record, produced by John Porter (formerly with B.B. King and Ryan Adams), is full of guitar virtuosity a la Steve Ray Vaughan and Mike Bloomfield, from whom Trout says he draws deep inspiration.
Walter Trout's tour started this summer in America and will end in December in Europe, again with the support of the Radicals, a band that has been following him for years and which features new drummer Michael Leasure. He will tour many countries, including France, Belgium, Germany, Holland, the UK and finally arrive in Italy with two consecutive dates.
