After four years, EELS announces the long-awaited new album entitled The Deconstruction, available from 06 April on E Works/ Self distribution. The band also unveiled the title track and new tour dates. The album will be available digitally, on CD, double 10" vinyl and in a limited edition box set containing two 12" vinyls.
Recorded at The Compund in Los Feliz and The Pie in Pasadena, California, The Deconstruction collaborators include E, Koool G Murder, P-Boo and The Deconstruction Orchestra & Choir. The album was produced by frontman E and Mickey Petralia, producing for the first time since the 1998 second album Electro-Shock Blues.
Frontman E (Mark Oliver Everett) says of the new album: 'We wrote 15 new tracks that may or may not sound like rock. The world is going crazy. But if you look hard enough, there's still a lot of beauty to be found. Sometimes you don't even have to look for it. Others you have to try to make it your own. And then there are times when you have to rip something in half to find the beauty inside."
