JP Saxe, pseudonym of Jonathan Percy Starker Saxe è un cantautore canadese.

JP Saxe ha iniziato a pubblicare singoli a partire dal 2017, mettendo in commercio il suo EP di debutto Both Can Be True: Part 1 in 2018. In 2019, after several attempts, he achieved considerable commercial success with the song If the World Was Endingin collaboration with Julia Michaels, which hit the singles charts in more than twenty countries, including Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, the UK and the US, being certified six times platinum by Music Canada and triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. After releasing more tracks, in 2020 he released his second EP Hold It Together. Also in 2020, he duetted for the second time with Julia Micheals in the song Kissin’ in the Cold, performing with her on the stage of The Voice.

In 2021 he collaborated with Maren Morris in Line by Line e nell’ambito dei Juno Award, il principale riconoscimento musicale canadese, ha ottenuto cinque candidature, tra cui una come Cantautore dell’anno, riuscendo a trionfare come Artista rivelazione dell’anno. The first studio album was subsequently released Dangerous Levels of Introspection, che ha debuttato nella Canadian Albums al 61º posto e per il quale l’artista ha dato al via ad una tournée internazionale nel corso della stagione autunnale del medesimo anno. Ai Juno Award annuali è stato candidato per il premio all’artista dell’anno e per quello all’album dell’anno per il suo LP d’esordio.
