Originally from Los Angeles, Judith Hill was born into a Japanese/Afro-American musical family. His mother Michiko and father Robert (aka Pee Wee) met as members of a 1970s funk band and continue to perform in the backing ensemble of Judithas well as having participated in the recordings of Baby, I'm Hollywood!. After graduating in Music Composition from Biola University in 2007 Hill leaves for France to join the touring band of French superstar Michel Polnareff. Once back in the United States, Judith has embarked on a meteoric rise as a soul singer, songwriter and bandleader of character.

During a particularly prolific decade, the singer collaborated with legendary artists. She was selected to duet with Michael Jackson at I Just Can't Stop Loving You during his London concerts of the tour This Is It. After the star's sudden death in June 2009, Hill gained worldwide visibility by singing at his funeral. His story is among those told in 20 Feet from Stardomthe documentary narrated by Morgan Freeman featuring the choristers behind the greatest musical legends of the 21st century. In addition the Hill participated in the fourth season of The Voice USAworked with Spike Lee, John Legend, Josh Grobanand his debut solo album was produced by Prince.
