Archive return to Italy for three dates in March 2015. The band's unique mix of electronica, trip hop and post-rock will be on stage Wednesday 11 March in Bologna (Estragon), Thursday 12 March in Milan (Alcatraz) and Friday 13 March in Rome (Ciampino - Orion Live Club). The Archive was formed in 1993 in London by Darius Keeler and Rosko Johnjoined shortly afterwards by Danny Griffiths and the vocalist Roya Arab. In 1996 they made their debut with "Londinium"(Island Records), a mix of Massive Attack-style trip hop, electronica and breakbeat that bewitched star Peter Gabriel. Critical acclaim did not stop Rosko John and Roya Arab from leaving the band, the latter being replaced by Suzanne Wooder, with whom the ensemble released "Take My Head"(Independiente, 1999). After three albums with Craig Walker, in 2004 Keeler and Griffiths decided to transform the band into a collective of individual artists who would contribute to maintaining the traditional Archive sound. To date, Archive have recorded the soundtrack to the film "Michel Vaillant"(2003), three compilations, seven live albums, three EPs and nine studio albums, the last of which, 'Axiom"(Dangervisit Records), released on 26 May. The collective formula has given a considerable boost to the creativity of Archive, who have recently announced the release of their new album 'The Archive'.Restriction".
In addition to the two founders Darius Keeler (lyrics, synthesiser, piano, programming, arrangements) and Danny Griffiths (lyrics, synthesiser, samples, programming, arrangements), the Archive collective now includes Pollard Berrier (lyrics, vocals, guitar, programming, arrangements), Dave Pen (lyrics, vocals, guitar), Maria Q (voice), Holly Martin (voice), Steve Harris (guitar, backing vocals), Jonathan Noyce (low), Steve 'The Menace' Davis (low), Steve 'Smiley' Barnard (battery), Mickey Hurcombe (guitar) and Tom Brazelle (harmonica).
